SLOW PROGRESS THAT'S WHY I HAVE NOT BEEN UPDATING THIS BLOG REGULARLY

Yes, there are activities on the bridge but there seemed to be not much work completed.

It is nearly Christmas and they still have not installed the prestressed concrete beams across the river.

Instead they dug out the temporary backfilled that was supposed to be used to drag the beams nearer the pile caps.  I believe the contractors methodology may not have been approved by the authorities so they must have our submitted a new method.

Anyway the first set of photos were taken on 14 Nov 2014 while the completed backfilled works on the retaining wall was taken on 11 December.

Moving granular earth to fill behind the wall

The temporary fill removed before the beams were installed. Also the beam bearings still not fixed.

Very muddy water which must have come from the 200 acres hill cutting at Togudon near Kg Notorus

 More earth fill works

Last two pics taken on 11 December showing the final backfilled works behind the retaining wall. Hmmm very expensive wall this is and lucky owner of the land above.
The excavator is even shaping the clay earthfill on top of the wall to match the existing shape of the hill.
